“Inbetween”

INBETWEEN is a performance that expresses the Asian American body/identity as one that sits below the surface, constantly in between. Cathy Park Hong refers to this status as “[a] vague purgatorial...not white enough nor black enough.” (Minor Feelings, pg 9. 2020)

In this performance, the body is submerged beneath screen-printed acetate and luke warm water.
