Yesterday I saw the light through my kitchen window

And saw its glittering shuffle against the wall

It was the ruffling of the leaves shadows

Making circles in a square of light

And before I knew it it was gone, the reflection of a reflection

And now I reflect on its passing

Waiting

And I keep looking,

For that beam to shine again

And the drumroll of the leaves and the wind startles me to action

Only to relive disappointment over and over again.

I am disturbed.

Haunted by its golden image

I can see its light

In the corner of my eye

tottering at the vignette

see sawing back and forth
